God as Spirit: The Scriptures clearly reveal that God is not bound by physicality, but is a spiritual being. In John 4:24 (NIV), Jesus declares, "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth." This verse reminds us that God transcends the realm of matter and exists in a spiritual dimension beyond our comprehension. 2. The Eternal Nature of God: In Psalm 90:2 (NIV), we read, "Before the mountains were born, or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." This verse emphasizes that God is eternal, existing outside the boundaries of time and matter. Unlike the transient nature of material things, God's existence surpasses all temporal limitations. 3. God's Creation of Matter: While God is not bound by matter, He is the Creator of all things. Genesis 1:1 (NIV) proclaims, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." This verse establishes that God brought forth the material universe into existence, but is distinct from it. 4.
